This story is based on the real tragedy of pets left behind to die in foreclosed homes. People who are forced out often leave their pets behind in foreclosed properties without food, water or the comforts of a temperature-controlled environment. The pets suffer from hunger and thirst, then die. Even if the pets are left with some food and water, they will face hell after finishing it. Charley is one of these poor pets. Nevertheless the owner abandons him, Charley trusts his owner and keeps waiting for him. When Charley almost dies, he hears auditory hallucination. Charley stands up using last bit of energy.
